Accurate Determination of Metal Emissions from Hazardous Waste Incinerators
Overview
The Apex Instruments Method 29 Sampling System is designed for the determination of metal emissions from hazardous waste incinerators and other industrial sources. This method modifies the Method 5 particulate train, incorporating additional impingers to enhance metal collection efficiency.
The system has been validated for the collection of 17 different metals, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-precision emission analysis.
Key Features & Specifications
- Low-background quartz filters replace standard glass filters for improved metal analysis
- Impinger solutions are specific for different metals to ensure accurate collection
- Recovered samples are digested and analysed using various techniques, such as:
- Inductively Coupled Plasma Emission Spectroscopy (ICPES)
- Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS)
- Thick aluminium impinger case protects glassware, even in harsh conditions
- High-quality glassware for precise sample collection
- Glass nozzle and probe liner for contaminant-free sampling
- Non-metallic union to prevent contamination from metal components
The Method 29 Sampling System provides a reliable and efficient solution for measuring hazardous metal emissions.
